Haukeland University Hospital (HUS) is situated in Bergen, a city on the west coast of Norway.
Department of Occupational Medicine, HUS, is one of five similar departments in Norway, one in each Health Region.
At the Department of Occupational Medicine, HUS, we offer a polyclinic examination to more than 800 patients from Health Region III (Rogaland, Hordaland and Sogn & Fjordane) each year. In the examination of injury and diseases related to occupational exposure the following fields are covered:
Occupational Medicine
Dermatology
Pulmonary diseases
Neurology
Neuro psychology
Industrial Hygiene
In addition the department consists two sections and one center:
Section for Clinical Allergology - Allergolog, laboratory technician and nurses examine patients with potential allergy.
Section for Hyperbaric Medicine - manages hyperbaric treatment for several patient groups, in addition is managing acute preparedness for diver accidents
Center og Maritime Medicine - gathers and spreads knowledge of maritime medicine to seamen, fishermen, shipping companies, vessels, the Government, labour organization and employers' association.
The Department of Occupational Medicine is a part of The Haukeland University Hospital and has nearly 30 employees. In addition to work directed to patients, several of our employees are teaching students and medical doctors, and doing research in several of the fields mentioned above.

Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, Norway. The Department of Occupational Medicine is situated at first floor in The Dermatology Building (Hudbygget) in the south part of the Hospital Park. Look for a green building.
